Cairngorm Mountain (Scotland) Limited (CMSL) is once more opening its popular bike park for the Summer 2024 season, starting with the lower zone from Saturday 4th May every weekend and school holidays, with other trails to follow soon after.

Ideal for younger riders, the lower zone includes the conveyor uplift which takes kids to the top of the beginner runs without adult assistance and is patrolled and safely managed.

With high quality bike hire too, the experience is a great way to give kids the freedom to let off steam.

With over 3km of gravity-style tracks across eight flow trails – graded as green, blue, and red – the bike park is great for all ages.

From the green trails for beginners and younger kids to the thrilling red trails for experienced mountain-bikers, there is something for everyone.

For those who want to progress their skills, new this year will be a link track which will provide a route connecting the climb trail to the top of the mid-zone.

Giving riders access to the mid-zone trails without the need to complete the full climb to the top, the new set-up provides the chance to progressively increase both skills and fitness, starting out in the lower zone to riding the full trail from the top.

Tickets are on sale online or directly from the Ticket Office.

Discounted ticket prices will be available initially when just the lower zone is open, and thereafter prices will be held from 2023 at £7.50 for a children’s half-day ticket, £9.00 for a junior and from £16 for an adult.

The new bike park is part of Cairngorm Mountain Resort’s great summer offering which also includes mountain tubing, guided walks with an experienced ranger and the mountain garden.

The popular café and shop at the foot of the mountain will also be open for drinks and meals.

Susan Smith, CEO of CMSL, said:

“We are pleased to bring back an even better experience with the revamped bike park for 2024.

“We look forward to welcoming visitors for our summer season when there is so much on offer for all ages.

“We hope people will come along and enjoy the great outdoors with us this season.”

Owned by Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) and operated by the Cairngorm Mountain team, the resort is one of Scotland’s iconic locations and the railway makes the mountain environment accessible not only for snowsports enthusiasts, but also for visitors of all ages and abilities in every season of the year.
