Parklands Care Homes is celebrating a wave of national recognition after being shortlisted for seven major awards across the UK care sector.

The group, which operates across the north of Scotland, is in the running for honours that highlight innovation, community impact, and outstanding leadership.

At the Leaders in Care Awards this October, Parklands is nominated for Innovation in Care Homes and Care Home Provider of the Year.

Managing Director Ron Taylor is also a finalist for Executive of the Year, marking over 30 years of dedication to the care sector.

Further recognition comes from the Caring UK Awards in December, where Parklands has been shortlisted in four categories.

These include Care Group of the Year and the Community Activity Award, with additional nominations for Eilean Dubh care home in Fortrose in both the Regional Care Home (Scotland) and Activities Team categories.

“These nominations are a wonderful recognition of the commitment and creativity of our teams,” said Managing Director Ron Taylor.

“Every day they go above and beyond to support our residents and strengthen our links with local communities.

‘I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together.”

The accolades follow Parklands’ recent success at the Highland Business Awards, where the group received the Corporate Community Impact Award.

Accepting the award on behalf of the group, Alexis Le Neven, Manager at Eilean Dubh, said:

“Our residents have spent their lives supporting their communities, so it’s vital we keep those links strong.”

She praised the care teams and wellbeing coordinators for their “amazingly creative and innovative ideas.”

Also recognised this year was 20-year-old Emily Christie from Wakefield House in Cullen, who was shortlisted for Young Employee of the Year.

While she didn’t take home the award, she is already regarded as a rising star within the group.
