Detectives are appealing for information after a fire at a property on Bught Drive in Inverness in the early hours of Tuesday 3 March 2026.
Emergency services were called around 1am following reports of a blaze.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the fire and no injuries were reported.
Police are treating the incident as deliberate and enquiries are ongoing.
Detective Sergeant Laura MacKay said:
“Thankfully no one was injured during this incident however the outcome could have been much worse.
“We are appealing to members of the public who may have seen anything suspicious around 1am in the Bught Drive area to get in touch.
“Anyone with private CCTV or dash cam footage should check to see if they have captured anything that could be useful in our investigation and call 101 quoting reference 0146 of 3 March.”
Officers are urging anyone who was in the area at the time and noticed unusual activity to come forward.
