Police in Inverness are appealing for information following a serious assault in the city centre on Saturday, 4 April, 2026.
Emergency services were called around 12.55pm to the King Street area, where a 51 year old man was found seriously injured.
The man was taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment, where he remains under care.
Detectives from Police Scotland are now working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
Detective Inspector Craig Thomson said:
“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“Anyone with any information is asked to get in touch.
“We are also asking anyone with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage between noon and 1pm in the King Street and Queen Street area to contact us should they find anything which may assist our investigation.”
Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the King Street or Queen Street areas between 12pm and 1pm and may have captured footage that could assist enquiries.
