Police Appeal After Serious Crash on A82 Near Falls of Falloch

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious crash on the A82 near Falls of Falloch that left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.

The collision happened at around 1.25pm on Tuesday 14 July and involved a green Mini Cooper and a black Yamaha Tracer motorcycle.

Emergency services attended the scene and the male rider of the Yamaha was taken to hospital, where his condition has been described as serious.

Two passengers travelling in the Mini Cooper were also taken to hospital for assessment and were later discharged.

The A82 was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident and collision investigators carried out enquiries before the road reopened at around 10.30pm.

Police Scotland confirmed that the 47 year old driver of the Mini Cooper has been arrested and charged in connection with a road traffic offence.

He was released on an undertaking and is due to appear at court at a later date.

Inspector David Marr said:

“Enquiries remain ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.

“We’d also ask anyone with dash cam footage which could assist our enquiries to come forward.”
