Police Scotland is appealing for the public’s help to find a 59 year old man who has been reported missing from Moray, with officers increasingly concerned for his welfare.
Gordon Bowie was last seen at approximately 11.30am on Tuesday 27 October 2026 in the Portgordon area.
Officers are asking local residents to remain vigilant and check sheds and outbuildings in case Gordon has sought shelter.
He is described as approximately 5ft 10in tall, of slim build, with short brown hair.
When last seen, he was wearing a black jacket, jeans and brown boots.
Police have confirmed that Gordon does not have access to a vehicle.
Constable Melissa Cameron said:
“We are growing concerned for the welfare of Gordon and are appealing for anyone who sees him to get in touch.
“We would appeal to residents to check outbuildings and sheds in case he has sought shelter there, along with those who have private CCTV or doorbell footage, you may have captured something.”
Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone in Portgordon or the surrounding area who may have seen Gordon since Tuesday morning.
Residents with private CCTV systems or video doorbells are encouraged to review their recordings for anything that might help establish his movements.
Even a seemingly small detail could assist officers in tracing him.
Anyone who believes they have seen Gordon, or who has information about his whereabouts, is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 3510 of 27 October 2026.
