Police are appealing for information after a 72-year-old man died while cycling near Westhill, just outside Inverness.
The incident took place around 8.45am on Saturday, 30 August, on the B9006.
The man was riding a turquoise Bianchi bicycle when he came off the bike.
He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed to allow for investigations and reopened shortly before midday.
Sergeant Neil MacDonald from Police Scotland said:
“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died at this difficult time.
“Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to any witnesses to contact us.
“We would also ask anyone who was in the area and may have dash-cam footage to come forward.”
