Police Scotland has released a CCTV image of a man officers want to trace as part of an investigation into an incident in the Stephen’s Brae area of Inverness.

The incident happened shortly before 1am on Sunday 6 July 2025, with police now appealing for help identifying and tracing the man.

Officers have described him as white, of heavy build and more than 6ft tall.

He spoke with a Liverpudlian accent and police believe he is from the Liverpool area.

At the time captured by CCTV, the man was wearing a black jacket, black trousers, black trainers and a black cap.

Police have not provided further details about the nature of the incident and have described their enquiries as an ongoing investigation.

Anyone who recognises the man or has information which could help officers identify or trace him is being asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
