Scottish football fans will be seeing a lot more of Premier Sports, as the broadcaster extends its partnership with the SPFL for another four years.

The renewed deal means the Premier Sports Cup will continue to carry the broadcaster’s name until at least summer 2031.

It also brings fresh coverage to the newly launched KDM Evolution Trophy, which Premier Sports will air for the first time.

The agreement includes full title sponsorship and broadcast rights for the Premier Sports Cup, with at least 25 group stage games streamed live and five shown on TV.

Live coverage will continue throughout the knockout stages, giving fans access to some of the most competitive matches in the Scottish football calendar.

This season’s tournament kicks off on Friday night, with Edinburgh City hosting Partick Thistle in the first fixture.

On Saturday, six matches will be streamed live at 3pm, followed by TV coverage of Hearts v Dunfermline Athletic at 5.15pm, Derek McInnes’ first competitive game in charge of the Tynecastle side.

The extension follows a record-breaking season for the Premier Sports Cup, which saw total attendances reach nearly 441,000.

That campaign ended in spectacular fashion as Celtic edged Rangers on penalties after a 3–3 draw in a dramatic final.

SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster welcomed the strengthened partnership, calling it a boost for the domestic game.

“We place great value on our long-standing partnership with Premier Sports,” he said.

“Their high-quality coverage continues to shine a light on Scottish football, and this extension gives the competition real momentum.”

Doncaster also confirmed that fans will now be able to watch matches from the KDM Evolution Trophy, thanks to the new deal.

Premier Sports will show a minimum of four games from the new-format competition this season, with the potential for more.

The latest broadcast agreements also support record prize money for clubs involved in both the Premier Sports Cup and the KDM Evolution Trophy.

It comes just weeks after the SPFL confirmed further changes to its long-term deals with Premier Sports and Sky Sports.

From the 2025–26 season, Premier Sports will also show two post-split bottom six matches from the William Hill Premiership.

The broadcaster’s live coverage of top-flight matches will rise from 20 to 22 games per season in the UK and Ireland.

With more games on screen and bigger rewards for clubs, the future of Scottish football broadcasting looks stronger than ever.
