DiEM25 will host a major political and cultural event on 24th of March 2026, bringing together prominent voices as audiences across the Highlands and Islands are invited to watch via livestream from 8pm.

The event takes place at Troxy in London from 7pm, with the programme beginning at 8pm, opening the discussion to a wider audience beyond the room.
Organisers say the gathering comes at a time of militarisation, inequality and ecological collapse, where the political establishment offers only surveillance, war and austerity.
They argue that public services are under strain, democratic rights are being eroded, and the choices presented to ordinary people are narrowing by the day.
Across Europe, resistance to war, climate destruction, authoritarianism, racism and exploitation is growing, but too often these struggles remain isolated and divided by borders and political silos.
In that context, they say resistance is no longer an idea but a necessity.
Erik Edman, Political Director of DiEM25, said:
“DiEM25 exists because division must end.
“We bring together citizens, activists, thinkers and politicians across borders, in a network capable of harnessing power for people, and away from corporations, weapons manufacturers, and unaccountable elites.“
The event, titled Resistance is Existence The Fight For Our Future, will bring together a wide range of speakers from politics, economics, culture and activism.
Those taking part include Yanis Varoufakis, Jeremy Corbyn, Zack Polanski, Francesca Albanese, Grace Blakeley, Brian Eno, Laura Pidcock, Srećko Horvat and Erik Edman.
The evening will also feature poetry from Inua Ellams and comedy from Francesca Martinez.
Organisers say movements opposing war, climate damage, inequality and authoritarianism are growing across Europe, but remain too often divided and disconnected.
They believe that bringing voices together in one space, and through the livestream beyond it, is key to building a stronger and more coordinated response.
The livestream gives people across the Highlands and Islands the opportunity to be part of that conversation in real time.
Viewers will be able to watch from 8pm as discussions unfold on the direction of politics, society and the economy across Europe.
The event is being framed as a moment to question, to challenge and to connect at a time when many feel the space for debate is shrinking.
For those watching from afar, it offers a chance to listen, reflect and take part in a wider conversation about where the future may be heading.
