Moray MSP Richard Lochhead has paid tribute to volunteers across Moray who go above and beyond to help in their local communities.

This week (1-7) June marks Volunteers’ Week, an annual celebration of the contribution and work of millions of volunteers who give up their time to help others.

Commenting Richard Lochhead MSP said:

“Each year Volunteers’ Week gives us the opportunity to celebrate the contribution of volunteers and to thank those who go above and beyond to serve their local community.

“Moray has no shortage of volunteers who give up large chunks of their own time to help others and the vital role they play in our communities has never been more apparent than over the last few challenging years.

“Whether it is through community groups and halls, sports organisations, or local charities, every volunteer in Moray deserves huge credit for the excellent work they do.

“As local MSP, I want to say a massive thank you to Moray’s impressive army of volunteers for all that they do to make our community a better place.”
