A Highland charity dedicated to empowering and protecting young children has announced its first ever charity golf day.
Safe Strong & Free will hold its inaugural golf event at Inverness Golf Club on August 9, promising a day of enjoyable golf, camaraderie and fundraising for a vital cause.
With tee times available from 12:30-14:30, golf enthusiasts of all skill levels are invited to participate in the event, which is sponsored by global specialists in porous membranes, Porex Filtration Group.
Registration costs £400 per four-ball team, with individual spots available for £100.00 per person where they can join a mixed four-balls.

All proceeds from the event will support Safe Strong & Free’s mission to reduce the vulnerability of young children to abuse and assault.
Kerry Lowe, charity manager at Safe Strong & Free, said:
“This golf day is a wonderful opportunity to bring the community together for a fun event that supports our essential programmes.
“Every pound raised will make a significant difference in the lives of the children we serve.
“We are deeply grateful to Porex and all our supporters.”
For just £150, Safe Strong & Free can teach a class in a local school how to stay safe from bullying; educate children on how to stay safe around strangers; or provide crucial lessons on how to stay safe from inappropriate touches.
“Porex is proudly sponsoring Safe Strong & Free’s first charity golf day,” said David Taylor, Inside Sales Manager at Porex.
“Supporting such a vital cause aligns with our commitment to community and safety.
“Safe Strong & Free offers invaluable services throughout the Highlands, empowering young children to grow up secure, valued, and capable of achieving their dreams.
“We are delighted to support this cause.
“I’m asking golfers and businesses in the Highlands to join us on August 9th at Inverness Golf Club for a fantastic round of golf while making a significant impact.
“Whether you’re booking a four-ball or joining a team as an individual, your participation helps Safe Strong & Free educate and protect children in the Highlands.
“Sign up, and be part of something truly impactful!”
In addition to an action-packed day of golf action, local businesses and individuals are also being encouraged to donate raffle and auction prizes, and consider sponsoring a hole for the day.
With sponsorship opportunities available for just £150 per hole, a business’s brand and logo will be displayed on the course and receive recognition in all event marketing materials.
Contributions to the raffle and auction will also be prominently acknowledged – with donations already including rounds of golf at Struie, Fortrose and Inverness, as well as a luxurious bed and breakfast stay at the Kingsmills Hotel.
