Scotland’s bid to qualify for the 2026 World Cup kicks off this Friday with a crucial away match against Denmark and fans can watch every moment live on BBC Scotland, BBC Two and iPlayer.

The opening fixture of the campaign sees Steve Clarke’s side face a tough test in Copenhagen, with coverage starting at 7.15 pm on BBC Scotland and 7.30 pm on BBC Two ahead of the 7.45 pm kick-off.

Kelly Cates will anchor the studio broadcast, joined by former Scotland stars Scott Brown and Neil McCann, alongside ex-Danish international Peter Lovenkrands, offering insight and analysis.

Live commentary will come from Liam McLeod in the stadium, with James McFadden and Steven Thompson on co-commentary duties.

Ahead of the big night, Cates sat down with manager Steve Clarke for a one-on-one interview, now available on iPlayer.

In the interview, Clarke shares memories of watching Scotland in past World Cups, his thoughts on the upcoming group fixtures, and what it will take to make it to the finals for the first time since 1998.

Kenny Macintyre will host from the studio alongside Willie Miller and Tom English, with Alasdair Lamont and Michael Stewart reporting live from Denmark.
