Scottish Citylink has increased the number of Sunday services running between Inverness and Fort William.

From 2 April, the coach provider will operate three services in each direction on its 919 route on Sundays.

The newest additional service departs Fort William at 09.30 and departs Inverness at 13.00 every Sunday.

The announcement allows customers from Fort William the chance to have a full day in Inverness, and those travelling in the other direction now have an additional lunchtime service available.

The extra service also offers customers the chance to benefit from an additional connection to Skye on a Sunday.

Citylink already provides five services in each direction between Fort William and Inverness between Monday and Saturday.

Scottish Citylink Operations Director Simone Smith said:

“This is great news for customers in the area who now have more journey options, at very convenient times, to choose from when travelling between Fort William and Inverness.

“We look forward to introducing this service and hope local people and those travelling in the area will enjoy the benefits of having more journeys to choose from.”

The new service means that Sunday journeys depart Fort William at 09.30, 12.30 and 17.40 and that journeys leave Inverness at 11.00, 13.00 and 17.15 each week.

In addition, during the Citylink summer timetable – which runs from 22 May until 24 September – the service operates nine times every day to provide even more journey options.
