Scottish Housing Day on Wednesday 13 September 2023 is a day to celebrate the work of everyone who has made housing their career of choice and the wealth of vital work that everyone in the housing sector contributes to social housing across Scotland.

Cllr Glynis Campbell Sinclair, Housing and Property Chair said:

“Scottish Housing Day 2023 highlights the vital work being carried out by our housing providers and partner agencies.

“It’s also great to highlight the opportunities provided by the Council’s Apprenticeship Scheme as part of Scottish Housing Day 2023.

“At The Highland Council we are committed to developing the skills and experience of our workforce and it’s so important to showcase some of our team starting out their rewarding careers in housing.”

Cllr Campbell Sinclair added:

“Affordable and accessible housing is also a key priority in the Council’s Programme.

“We are living in very challenging times and the work that every member of the housing team plays is critical and enables the Council and its partners to continue to support tenants and customers to sustain their tenancies.”

Scotland’s rented sector manages around one million homes and employs tens of thousands of practitioners to help manage rented homes and support their tenants.

Scottish Housing Day is a day to highlight all housing sector employees and the great work they do across the sector.
