The SNP has branded Douglas Ross’ party HQ as being “in disarray” as the Scottish Tory leader faces serious disquiet in his own ranks.

The Scottish Tory Leader has come under fire in a bitter briefing war in the media from his own MSPs – who slam the part-time linesman for a litany of failures of his leadership.

SNP MSP Karen Adam said:

“Douglas Ross has consistently been on the wrong side of public opinion – whether that be in failing to stand up for Scottish democracy, inflicting a disastrous Brexit, or backing Liz Truss’s economy wrecking mini budget.

“Given his series of policy disasters it is a miracle that Douglas Ross remains in his position, and it will come as no surprise to anyone to hear that Scottish Tory HQ is in disarray.

“The Scottish public have known for a long time that Douglas Ross was not fit to lead so you have to ask yourself why it has taken Tory MSPs so long to figure it out.

“While the Tories scheme and tear themselves apart the leader of the SNP is laser focused on delivering a government that is built on the principles of equality, opportunity and community.”
