The road to Bught Park is heating up after this morning’s Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup semi-final draw revealed two showstopping ties and set the stage for a dramatic end to the shinty season.

Held at Tulloch Homes’ new Fairview Heights development in Inverness, the draw was made in the presence of Camanachd Association CEO Ruari Davidson and Tulloch Homes Managing Director Kieran Graham.

It’s a landmark year for Tulloch, who are celebrating their 100th anniversary as proud sponsors of shinty’s most coveted trophy.

First out of the hat were holders Kingussie, who will face Fort William in a repeat of last year’s semi-final thriller a match that saw all five goals scored in the first 20 minutes, with Kingussie edging a 3–2 win.

With both teams level on points in the Mowi Premiership, fans can expect another high-octane encounter when they meet at Bught Park on 2 August.

The second semi-final sees 2023 runners-up Oban Camanachd face Newtonmore, whose last appearance in a Camanachd Cup final came in 2019 a commanding 5–1 win over Oban.

That clash takes place at An Aird in Fort William on 9 August.

Both games will be broadcast live on BBC ALBA, giving fans across the country a front-row seat for two of the sport’s most historic rivalries.

President of the Camanachd Association, Burton Morrison, welcomed the draw and the growing excitement.

“These matches are always fiercely contested, with everything to play for,” he said.

“With four of shinty’s form teams still standing, we’re in for two great matchups.

“Communities will be rallying behind their clubs, and we’re grateful to Tulloch Homes for helping bring the very best of our sport to a wider audience.”

Tulloch Homes Managing Director Kieran Graham echoed that sense of pride.

“Shinty is all about community,” he said.

“And the Camanachd Cup has a unique way of bringing people together.

“We’re thrilled to support this incredible tradition, and I can’t wait to see which two teams will take the field in September.”

The 2025 Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup Final will take place at Bught Park, Inverness, on Saturday 20 September.

As the stakes rise and the rivalries return, one thing is certain the spirit of shinty is alive and well.
