A series of free drop-in sessions to support jobseekers and households on low incomes will take place across Skye and Lochalsh from Tuesday 28 October.
Organised by partners of Work. Life. Highland, the sessions aim to connect people with job opportunities, benefits advice, and support services.
Education Committee chair, Cllr John Finlayson, said:
“Staff from several support organisations will be on hand at these informal sessions to provide help and advice on how to potentially raise household incomes via employment and to ensure that people are accessing the benefits they are entitled to.”
Local vacancies will also be highlighted, with NHS Highland recruitment staff joining some of the sessions to speak with attendees directly.
The first session will take place at Minginish Community Hall from 4pm to 6pm on Tuesday 28 October.
Three more events follow on Wednesday 29 October, starting with DCF Community Church in Dunvegan between 10am and 12 noon, Uig Community Hall from 1pm to 3pm, and Talla Stafainn from 4pm to 6pm.
The final session will be held in Kyle Village Hall on Thursday 30 October between 11am and 1pm.
Cllr Finlayson added:
