Highland Council engineers have closed the Slochd Cottages Bridge on the U2400 Blackmount to Slochd Road following a traffic survey showing that a significant number of vehicles in excess of the 3 tonne weight limit are using the bridge.
Council engineers will be considering options for the future of the bridge and consultations with the community will be held in due course.
The bridge remains open for pedestrians and cyclists.
