“Listening to this brave man’s words brought home just how barbaric Russia’s unprovoked war truly is.
“The Highlands stands in solidarity with Ukraine and supports the country’s courageous defiance of Putin’s criminal invasion.
“Indeed, many Ukrainians have now made the Highlands their home and I am proud that they have been welcomed so warmly into our local communities after being forced to flee their homes.
“We are all united in our support of Ukraine and, in the words of the President, remain confident that freedom will win.
“Slava Ukraini.”
