BBC ALBA’s bumper summer of music continues this week as the channel broadcasts live across the three days of Belladrum.

Following the channel’s coverage of TRNSMT earlier in July; BBC ALBA brings Highland music extravaganza Belladrum into your living room.

Starting on Thursday, music lovers will be able to watch live coverage of the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival on BBC ALBA and BBC iPlayer.

Highlights will be broadcast live from 9.30pm on July 28 and from 9pm on July  29 and 30 as Fiona MacKenzie and Niall Iain MacDonald bring Main Stage action, acoustic sets and interviews and acts from the Grassroots Stage to our screens.

Audiences can enjoy additional live coverage on the BBC Scotland channel from 11pm on July 29 and 30.

Nile Rodgers & Chic and Emeli Sandé headline the Highland festival’s Garden Stage, with other acts including The Fratellis, Admiral Fallow, Shed Seven, Passenger, Edwyn Collins and Tide Lines.

Not only is there live coverage, if you miss any of the best performances, there will be highlights shows weekly from August 6 at 9pm.

There will also be BBC iPlayer-only sets from July 31.

MG ALBA Director of Content Additionality, Margaret Cameron, said:

“A summer of music on BBC ALBA takes our audiences from festival fields to urban concert halls, covering a variety of amazing talent along the way.

“We’re delighted to be back at Belladrum and to share these brilliant, eclectic line-ups with our audiences.

“Belladrum 2022 offers a rich selection of musical styles, from pop to traditional with some folk rock and Caledonian soul along the way and specially-recorded acoustic sets.”
