Sweet Scoop for Charity As Miele’s Launches Limited-Edition Gelato For HALO

There’s a new flavour in town and it’s doing far more than just turning heads, it’s raising funds, sharing joy and celebrating one of Scotland’s favourite festivals in style.

Miele’s Gelateria has teamed up with the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival and local children’s charity HALO to launch a brand-new limited-edition Birthday Cake gelato in celebration of Belladrum’s 21st anniversary.

The community-powered campaign will run for 10 days only, from Thursday 3 July to Saturday 13 July, exclusively at Miele’s Inverness parlour.

For every scoop sold, a donation will go straight to HALO (Highland Action for Little Ones), Belladrum’s official charity partner for 2025.

And that’s not all, customers who buy the limited-edition Birthday Cake flavour will be entered into a raffle to win a pair of tickets to this year’s Belladrum Festival.

With headline acts including Paul Heaton, Texas, Tom Walker, Supergrass and Natasha Bedingfield, it’s set to be a blockbuster summer weekend.

The idea was sparked during planning for Belladrum’s big birthday year, when organisers and Miele’s saw a chance to turn celebration into meaningful action.

“This is about more than a flavour,” said Belladrum’s marketing lead Ciaran Macleod.

“It’s about bringing people together and supporting a local charity doing life-changing work for families across the Highlands.”

HALO has supported more than 3,500 children and families since launching in late 2022, providing essential items like clothing, nappies and school supplies to those facing hardship.

Director of Miele’s, David Miele, said the partnership is a perfect fit.

“We’re proud to support HALO and thrilled to be part of Belladrum’s celebrations again,” he said.

“It’s a lovely way to give something back to the community and put smiles on faces while we’re at it.”

The campaign also marks Miele’s return to Belladrum for 2025, where they’ll once again serve their beloved home-made gelato across the site.

For HALO, partnerships like this make a real difference.

Founder Lauren Thomson said:

“We’re hugely grateful to Belladrum and Miele’s for choosing us.

“It’s not just about fundraising, it helps us reach new families and make sure people know we’re here when they need us.”

Belladrum is expected to welcome 25,000 festivalgoers this July, with a theme of ‘Bella Goes to the Moovies’ and a packed line-up of music and family fun.

But if you want to try the Birthday Cake gelato, don’t wait.

This flavour is only available until 13 July and once it’s gone, it’s gone.
