Drivers using the A9 near Moy should prepare for delays next month as temporary traffic signals are introduced for two weeks of construction work.
The measures begin on Monday 3 November and are expected to last until mid-November, as part of the ongoing dualling programme south of Inverness.
A single 200-metre lane closure will be in place near Moy Rail Bridge and Lynebeg, where culvert installations and sheet piling works are due to take place close to the carriageway.
The temporary lights will operate daily from 7.30am to 9.30pm, Monday to Friday, with no work scheduled over the weekends.
A reduced speed limit of 30mph will apply on approach to the lane closure.
Traffic will be guided through the controlled section before resuming normal travel at the posted speed limit.
The works form part of the A9 Dualling project, which is progressing in sections between Inverness and Perth.
Contractors have confirmed that pedestrian and emergency access will be maintained at all times, and that the signals will be actively supervised during working hours to minimise disruption.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and to approach the area with care.
Weather conditions may affect the schedule, with any changes posted via official traffic channels.
