Temporary Traffic Signals on A9 to Facilitate Key Works

Overnight temporary traffic signals will soon manage traffic on the A9 between Tomatin and Moy.

The measures, in place from 7:30pm to 6:00am, will run for approximately two weeks starting Monday, 6 January 2025.

No works are scheduled for Friday or Saturday nights to limit disruption over the weekend.

These signals will allow site clearance and the construction of temporary site access to progress safely.

Layby 160SB, located around 200 metres north of Tomatin on the southbound A9, will close from the same date.

This layby will serve as a processing and loading area for timber removed during tree felling operations nearby.

Pedestrian access in the area will remain unaffected throughout the works.

The temporary traffic measures are vital to protect both road users and workers during these essential activities.

Drivers are urged to approach the site with caution and plan for potential delays.

Weather conditions could impact the schedule, so road users should check Traffic Scotland for updates.

Patience and cooperation will ensure these necessary improvements are completed smoothly.
