Two men have been arrested and charged after police recovered more than £1 million worth of drugs in the Highlands.
The discovery, which included cannabis and cocaine, was made on the Black Isle over the course of 2025 following a detailed and targeted police investigation.
Both men, aged 28, have been charged and are due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Monday, 27 October 2025.
Detective Inspector Angus Morrison said the operation reflects the force’s ongoing determination to tackle the supply of illegal drugs across the Highlands.
“This operation sends a clear message that we will not tolerate illegal drugs in our communities,” he said.
“We are determined to protect the public from this harmful criminality by disrupting the sale of illegal substances in the Highlands.
“It also underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
“Information from the public is absolutely crucial to our work and we ask anyone with knowledge about drugs activity in their area to contact Police Scotland on 101.
“Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
The latest recoveries highlight the ongoing efforts of officers across the region to prevent the movement and distribution of illegal drugs.
Police Scotland continues to urge residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity linked to drug dealing or organised crime.
