Quantities of cocaine and cannabis were discovered during the police operation, with the combined potential street value estimated at £770,000.

Officers also seized a five figure sum of cash along with other drugs paraphernalia found during the searches.

The two men, aged 21 and 28, were subsequently arrested and charged in connection with drugs offences.

They are expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Friday 11 September.

The operation saw police execute search warrants at addresses in two separate areas of the city, with officers carrying out searches in both Kinmylies and Slackbuie.

Police have not provided further details about the quantities of cocaine and cannabis recovered or the individual charges faced by the two men.

The £770,000 figure represents the potential street value placed on the drugs recovered during the operation.

Detective Inspector Angus Morrison said:

“We will continue to target those who are involved in the distribution of drugs in Inverness and the surrounding areas.

“Anyone with any information about drug crime in their area, should report this to us so that we can fully investigate.”
