UK’s Only Elk Twins Named at Highland Wildlife Park

Two Eurasian elk calves born on 16 May 2023 at The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland’s (RZSS) Highland Wildlife Park have been named.

Chosen by keepers at the wildlife conservation charity, the female calf has been named Wren and the male calf has been named Goose.

Bird-themed names were chosen for the brother and sister duo with their dad, Raven, in mind. 

Visitors can spot Highland Wildlife Park’s Eurasian elk family exploring together in the drive through reserve.
