Loganair serves up chance to win tickets for Jamie Murray’s Battle of the Brits as it is announced as partner.

As Jamie and Sir Andy Murray prepare to take on the biggest tennis players from across the UK, Loganair has been announced as Official Travel Partner for Battle of the Brits – Scotland versus England.

Loganair, the UK’s biggest regional operator, will fly the players, including the Murray brothers, and backroom staff to and from Aberdeen for the much-anticipated event.

The competition, which was created by Jamie Murray in response to the lack of tournament tennis during the COVID 19 pandemic, is now one of the UK’s leading tennis events series.

Battle of the Brits – Scotland versus England will be the fourth tournament in the series, taking place at Aberdeen’s P&J Arena on 21st and 22nd of December 2021.

Now, Loganair is celebrating its new title as Official Travel Partner by giving fans the chance to win tickets to the tournament, with return travel included on Loganair’s services to Aberdeen from across the UK.

To enter the competition, Loganair is asking the UK’s biggest tennis fans to submit a short video (up to 10 seconds) explaining why they want to win the tickets, all the while keeping up a tennis ball.

Entries should be uploaded via Twitter, Facebook or Instagram tagging @FlyLoganair, with the competition open now until 11 July – in line with the last day of Wimbledon.

As well as organising the event as Tournament Director, Jamie Murray will join Andy Murray and fellow Scot Cameron Norrie as part of Team Scotland for the tournament.

They will take on an English team led by British No.1 Dan Evans and Australian Open doubles winner and recent Roland Garros mixed doubles champion Joe Salisbury.

Kay Ryan, chief commercial operator at Loganair, said:

“We are thrilled to be part of the Battle of the Brits – Scotland versus England.

“As the UK’s largest regional airline, we are committed to providing domestic connectivity and are proud to be flying the best of British tennis across our network in support of reconnecting fans with their much-loved sport.”

Jamie Murray said:

“We’re delighted to have a wonderful Scottish success story like Loganair on board for Battle of the Brits – Scotland versus England.

“Loganair brings the world to Aberdeen and we’re hoping to bring the tennis spotlight there too.”
