Witness Appeal After Car Set on Fire in Rogart

The incident happened in Gordon Place around 00.50am on Tuesday, 12 May, 2020.

The occupants of the property were awoken by a Volkswagen Passat on fire within their garden.

No-one was injured as a result but the car was completely destroyed and the fire also caused damage to the extremities of the property.

Constable Nicola Jack of Tain Police Station said:

“The swift reaction of the occupants in contacting the emergency services prevented a serious situation becoming out of control.

“We are appealing for anyone with information, or who may have seen anyone in the area around this time to get in touch.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 0123 of 12 May.
