Tickets have gone on sale for the Moray Music Centre Spring Concert, which will take place at 1.30pm on Saturday 14th of March 2026 at Elgin Academy.
The annual concert will bring together young musicians from across Moray to celebrate their progress and showcase their work in a varied programme marking the arrival of spring.
Around 100 performers are expected to take part, including pupils who regularly represent Moray at regional and national music events.
Moray Music Centre is delivered by Moray Council’s Music Instruction and Performance team and provides school aged pupils with opportunities to develop their musical skills and perform alongside other young musicians.
Principal Teacher of Music Instruction and Performance in Moray Alexander Davidson said the event is a key moment in the calendar.
“Our Spring Concert is a really important moment in the year for our young musicians.
“It gives them the opportunity to perform for parents carers and the wider community, build confidence, and share the results of months of commitment and teamwork.
“Behind the scenes, there is a huge amount of preparation involved, and the enthusiasm shown by the young people week after week is always impressive.”
Chair of Moray Council’s Education, Children’s and Leisure Services Committee Cllr Kathleen Robertson said the concert highlights the impact of the programme.
“The Spring Concert is a fantastic opportunity for families and the wider community to see the impact of the Music Centre’s work.
“The dedication shown by both the young musicians and the staff supporting them is clear every time they take to the stage.”
Tickets are available now through the Moray Council online shop, with admission also available on the door.
The Spring Concert will be followed by the Moray Young Musicians final on Monday 23rd of March, continuing a busy month for music across the region.
