£3.3 Million Upgrade to Water Mains Announced Between Dingwall and Evanton

Scottish Water have announced a £3.3 million in a project designed to upgrade the water pipes between Evanton and Dingwall.

The work, to be carried out by Pat Munro on behalf of the Caledonia Water Alliance, will install approximately 5 miles (8.2 km) of new water mains at various locations in the area, ensuring clear and fresh drinking water while reducing the risk of burst pipes.

Work is due to commence on 29th January 2025 and will last for up to 10 months.

A section of road between Old Evanton Road near Ardullie and the road linking to the A9 will be closed from 5th of March 2025 for 5 weeks with further details to be released.

The A862 from Cromarty Bridge to Dingwall will have a rolling lane closure with traffic lights for 20 weeks from 8th of April 2025.

There will also be work at the Highland Farm Café, Ardullie Farm, Ardullie Lodge and a valve installation near Highland Farm Café.
