Outdoor lovers in Lochaber are being invited to a special evening of film, fundraising and community spirit later this month in support of one of the Highlands’ busiest volunteer rescue organisations.
Páramo will host an Adventure Film Night at its Fort William store on Thursday 23 July in partnership with the Scottish Outdoor Adventure Film Tour.
The free event will combine a screening of award winning Scottish adventure films with fundraising for Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team, alongside an exclusive shopping evening, refreshments and a raffle.
The event takes place at the Páramo Brand Store on Fort William High Street and aims to bring together local residents, mountain enthusiasts and visitors through a shared appreciation of Scotland’s outdoors.
Guests attending between 6pm and 7pm will receive 20 per cent off Páramo clothing before the film screenings begin at 7pm.
There will also be a fundraising raffle featuring a range of prizes, including a Páramo Fuera Windproof Smock worth £100, with all proceeds going directly to Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team.
Every attendee will receive a complimentary goody bag, while the first ten people to register will be given a Hydro Flask Travel Tumbler worth £39.95.
Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team plays a vital role across some of Scotland’s most challenging terrain, responding to incidents involving walkers, climbers and outdoor enthusiasts throughout the year.
Ian Pooleman, Secretary and Medical Officer at Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team, said:
“We are delighted that our local Páramo store and the Scottish Outdoor Adventure Film Tour are hosting this fundraising evening for Lochaber MRT Community.
“Support like this is vital to keeping our team operational.”

Luke Welch, Páramo’s Store Manager, said:
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with the Scottish Outdoor Adventure Film Tour to bring this unique event to Fort William.
“The evening is a celebration of outdoor adventure, but it’s also an opportunity for our community to come together and support the incredible work of Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team.
“We look forward to welcoming customers, outdoor enthusiasts and local residents for what promises to be a memorable night.”
Jimmy Hyland, Founder and Director of the Scottish Outdoor Adventure Film Tour, said:
“The Scottish Outdoor Adventure Film Tour celebrates the people, places and stories that make Scotland’s outdoors so special.
“We’re delighted to partner with Páramo and are pleased to help support Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team, whose volunteers play such a vital role in keeping people safe in the mountains.”
The event is expected to finish at around 9.30pm and places are limited, with registration available through Eventbrite.
For Fort William, a town shaped by outdoor culture and mountain adventure, it offers another opportunity to celebrate the landscapes that attract visitors from around the world while supporting the volunteers who help keep them safe.
