Police are appealing for information after a housebreaking at a building site near Drumnadrochit, amid a wider series of similar incidents across the Highlands in recent weeks.
The break in happened in the Polmaily area near Drumnadrochit, where two lodges under construction were targeted.
Officers believe the incident took place at some point between Monday 22nd of December 2025 and Tuesday 13th of January 2026.
A quantity of tiles, building materials, and tools were taken from the site, causing disruption and loss at a property still in the process of being built.
Police say they are particularly keen to hear from anyone who noticed unusual activity in the area during that period.
Detective Constable David MacKenzie said officers are asking the local community to think back to anything that may have seemed out of place.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area during this time, or who may have information that could assist with our enquiries.”
He also encouraged people to come forward if they were offered building materials or tools for sale in unusual circumstances.
Police are asking residents and road users to check any dash cam, doorbell, or private CCTV footage they may have from the area.
