Appeal Following Serious Crash on A82 Near Glencoe

A motorcyclist has been seriously injured following a crash on the A82 near Glencoe, with Police Scotland appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The collision happened at around 4.55pm on Sunday 19 July near the junction with the B863 and involved a red Harley Davidson motorcycle and a white Volvo V90.

Emergency services attended the scene and the 67 year old rider of the motorcycle was taken by air ambulance to hospital for treatment to injuries described as serious.

No one else was reported to have been injured.

The A82 was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident and officers carried out enquiries before reopening the road at around 1.30am on Monday 20 July.

Sergeant Kate Finlayson said:

“I am appealing to anyone who was driving in the area at the time and witnessed the crash, or saw either vehicle prior, to get in touch with officers.

“I’d also ask that those with dash-cam footage review this to see if it has captured anything that could assist with our investigation.”
