Brora Rangers will be part of a landmark moment for Scottish football as every SPFL play off match is set to be broadcast live for the first time.
The new coverage model means fans across the Highlands will be able to follow Brora’s push for League 2 promotion from anywhere, as the club prepares to face Edinburgh City in the pyramid play off final.
The matches, scheduled for 9 May and 16 May, will now be available through a new SPFL streaming platform hosted on Premier Sports, marking a major shift in how these games are delivered to supporters.
For Highland fans, often facing long travel distances, the change brings a practical and welcome way to stay connected to crucial fixtures.
The move comes after discussions between the SPFL and clubs aimed at increasing access to end of season matches, which regularly deliver some of the most dramatic moments in Scottish football.
Under the new system, all play off matches not already selected for broadcast by BBC Scotland, BBC ALBA or Sky Sports will be available to stream on a pay per view basis.
The service will include enhanced coverage across the Championship, League 1 and pyramid play offs, giving supporters a consistent viewing experience across competitions.
For clubs like Brora Rangers, it also offers greater visibility at a pivotal point in the season, with promotion on the line and wider audiences tuning in.
Neil Doncaster said the development reflects growing demand from fans and clubs alike.
“We’re really pleased to be announcing that every SPFL play-off match will be broadcast live for the first time.
“The play-offs have delivered some of the most dramatic and memorable moments in the SPFL in recent years, and we’ve been working closely with our clubs to ensure we can make them available to as wide an audience as possible.
“This new platform offers an innovative and flexible new way for fans to follow the best of the action, as well as an enhanced broadcast quality for these matches.
“We’d lastly like to thank our clubs and Premier Sports for their support in making this possible and wish all the clubs involved the very best for what promises to be a hugely exciting set of matches.”
Fans will be able to purchase access to matches individually, with each game available for £9.99 through the Premier Sports Player.
Traditional broadcast arrangements remain in place for selected fixtures, with BBC Scotland, BBC ALBA and Sky Sports continuing to show key ties across the Premiership and finals.
For the Highlands, the spotlight will fall firmly on Brora Rangers as they look to take a major step forward.
With every match now live, the journey can be shared far beyond the ground, bringing the drama of the play offs to living rooms across the country.
Every SPFL play off match will be streamed live for the first time, giving Brora Rangers and their supporters a wider stage as they bid for promotion in a historic moment for Scottish football coverage.
