NHS Highland is developing a plan: Together We Care.

This plan will shape their approach over the next five years in building a brighter future for health and care.

The demand on the health care service is increasing and this will continue.

As a health board, NHS Highland need to make sure that their services can cope with this, now and in the future.

They want to ensure that they are providing the right care, at the right time, to the people who need these services.

In order to achieve these ambitions, NHS Highland need a common set of goals and aims that everyone understands.

They are developing the strategy with you, the people who use the services.

They want to pull together thoughts and ideas from the population, workforce and partners so that the strategy is created by the people in the Highlands, for the people in the Highlands.

NHS Highland are asking for your input and ideas so that they can learn what matters most to you.

Listening to your values will help them understand where their priorities should be.

This will help NHS Highland improve the quality of care you receive.

Over the last couple of months, NHS Highland have been engaging with you and listening to what matters most to the communities they serve.

They have also been engaging with representatives from third sector organisations to learn how they can strengthen existing partnerships and form new bonds with community stakeholders.

They will also soon be launching workforce engagement so they can understand what their staff, those who deliver the services, think as well.

NHS Highland are particularly keen to hear from you if you are Black, Asian and Ethnic minorities, people who are homeless, and those who are pregnant or new parents.

Whilst a lot of these communities are already getting involved, they are very keen to hear from If you represent a group linking to these (or any) under represented community, please do get in touch at nhsh.togetherwecareideas@nhs.scot.
