Des McNulty to Referee 2023 Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup Final

Des McNulty from Dalmally will take charge of the Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup Final on September 16th at Bught Park, Inverness.

McNulty, who has been an official for over 6 years has previously officiated major occasions in the shinty calendar such as the Badenoch Derby as well as Balliemore and Macaulay Cup Finals.

When asked how he felt about officiating the final Des said:

“The Tulloch Homes Camanachd cup is the most prestigious cup in shinty and to be selected to officiate this game is a great honour.

“From my first game between Col-Glen & Ballachulish until now it has been a privilege to help shinty thrive.

“Catching up with familiar faces at matches is a great joy and the refereeing certainly helps with the fitness.

“I look forward to what I’m sure will be a cracking game and wish both teams the best of luck in the final.”

Officials Director, John MacRitchie said:

“Des has shown dedication and commitment to officiating and has received commendation from shinty fans, players and indeed was awarded the Mowi Emerging Referee of the year back in 2017.

“We have every confidence in his ability to manage the occasion that is the Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup Final.”
