Award-nominated fiddler and vocalist to headline full Friday night show – Friday, May 9
Looking for an unforgettable night of live music this May?
Tickets are on sale now for a special one-night-only performance from one of Scotland’s most exciting emerging artists.
Lauren Collier will take to the stage at Strathpeffer Pavilion on Friday, May 9, for a full-length headline show that promises to be a true highlight in the Highland music calendar.
Recently nominated for Up and Coming Artist of the Year at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards 2024, Lauren is gaining national attention for her powerful voice, exceptional fiddle playing, and bold approach to folk music.
Her work blends traditional Scottish roots with global influences, creating a sound that is rich, cinematic, and deeply personal.
Her debut album, Uddevalla, released in December 2023, has earned widespread acclaim.
Drawing inspiration from Haiti, India, Indonesia, Sweden, and beyond, the album offers a captivating journey across continents, woven together with emotion and exceptional musicianship.
Lauren will be joined on stage by an all-star band featuring Owen Sinclair on guitar (Westward the Light, INYAL, Ryan Young), Brodie Laird-Jarvie on bass (Guy Salamon Group, Brian Molley Quartet, Deceptive Lizard), and Stuart Brown on drums and percussion (Peatbog Faeries, Blue Rose Code, Duncan Lyall’s Milestone).
Together, they bring to life an immersive, high-energy live experience that celebrates tradition while embracing innovation.
“This is a rare chance to see one of Scotland’s most exciting new artists in an intimate Highland setting,” says Claire from the local programming team.
“Her talent is extraordinary, and this show will be something really special.”
This concert is not part of a wider festival or tour – it’s a standalone performance, giving local audiences a unique opportunity to hear Lauren’s music up close in a beautiful setting with world-class sound and production.
