Kinrara Distillery’s flagship gin, “Kinrara Highland Dry”, has been named Best Scottish Contemporary Gin at the 2022 World Gin Awards, one of the ultimate endorsements in the World spirits industry.

This is the second year running that Aviemore based Kinrara Distillery has been awarded this prestigious title.

The accolades from the World Gin Awards did not end there for Kinrara Distillery as their Artist Edition ‘Ginny’ gin picked up a bronze award in the London Dry category.

The World Gin Awards are part of the World Drinks Awards; global awards recognising quality international spirit drinks.

The judging panel for the World Drinks Awards comprises more than 80 experts from around the world.

Individual country winners have been automatically entered into the World Gin Awards Finals, each hoping to be named as “best gin in the world” when the results are announced next month.

Distillery Director Karen Fletcher said:

“We’re extremely proud to be named Best Contemporary Gin in Scotland for the second year in a row.

“For our small Highland distillery to be awarded such a huge world accolade again is amazing and we are very grateful.”

Based on the outskirts of Aviemore, these awards are the latest in a long list of accolades for the craft Distillery, with its Artist Edition ‘Ginny’ previously awarded London Dry Gin Of The Year at the 2021 Scottish Gin Awards.

Kinrara has recently reopened its doors to the public following extensive refurbishment, with an onsite shop and daily tasting experiences available.
