Fitness fans pushed themselves to the limit at Inverness Leisure as High Life Highland hosted its latest Hyrox Simulation event, a high-energy showcase of strength, endurance, and determination.

Held on Saturday 1 November, the event saw 70 competitors take on what’s known as the ultimate fitness race, blending functional training, running, and pure grit in a friendly but fiercely competitive atmosphere.

High Life Highland has fully embraced the Hyrox phenomenon, offering dedicated training sessions across its leisure centres in Aviemore, Grantown, Inverness, and Fort William with more locations to follow.

At Inverness Leisure, a full refit of Studio 3 has transformed the space into a Hyrox training hub, now hosting 10 weekly sessions with capacity for 40 participants in each.

Hyrox, often described as the bridge between gym training and endurance racing, challenges participants to test every element of fitness from strength and speed to agility and aerobic power.

Leisure Manager Ross Dudgeon said the first Inverness Hyrox Sim was a huge success.

“Our first Hyrox Sim was a massive success with all our participants really going for it and enjoying the challenge of a timed event designed to feel like a real Hyrox race,” he said.

“Our Hyrox training sessions at Inverness Leisure are proving incredibly popular, there’s a real buzz around them and we look forward to hosting another Sim event soon.”

High Life Highland continues to expand its Hyrox offering, helping more people across the Highlands discover one of the world’s fastest-growing fitness movements.
