Kingussie lifted the Strathdearn Cup with a 3–0 victory over Newtonmore as another packed weekend of shinty produced goals throughout the Highlands.
Louis Munro put Kingussie ahead after nine minutes before Toby Thain doubled their advantage five minutes before half time.
Eoin Baikie completed the scoring in the 75th minute to secure the trophy and round off a successful afternoon for Kingussie.
Their Premiership side was also in formidable form, sweeping aside Kyles Athletic 7–0 with Zander Michie completing a second half hat trick.
Newtonmore responded to their Strathdearn Cup disappointment with an emphatic 6–0 Premiership victory over Kinlochshiel, with Euan Dingwall and Iain Robinson both scoring twice.
Skye produced an impressive 4–1 victory over Oban Camanachd as Dan MacDonald scored a hat trick, while Fort William defeated Lochaber 3–0.
Col Glen and Caberfeidh shared six goals in a 3–3 draw, with Jamie MacKintosh striking in the 91st minute to earn Caberfeidh a point.
In the National Division, Kilmallie recorded an emphatic 8–1 victory over Bute, with Martin Stewart, Shane O’Rua and Calum MacDougall all scoring twice.
Glenurquhart defeated Inveraray 3–1, while two goals from Danny Kelly helped Lovat to a 3–1 victory over Beauly.
Inverness secured a 3–2 victory away at Glenurquhart in North Division 1, with Ruairidh Boag scoring twice, while Kinlochshiel defeated Caberfeidh 2–1.
Graham Campbell scored a hat trick as Fort William recorded a convincing 5–0 victory over Skye.
Lochside Rovers were the big winners in South Division 1, defeating Ballachulish 6–1 as Lewis Buchanan scored twice.
North Division 2 produced victories for Lewis, Aberdeen University, Kilmallie and Lochcarron.
Kilmallie defeated Lovat 6–2 with Ben MacKinnon scoring a hat trick, while Lochcarron recorded a 5–0 victory over Strathglass.
Women’s shinty also provided plenty of goals, including a remarkable 7–5 victory for Skye over Beauly in the North League, with Bethany MacIntosh scoring five for Skye.
Lovat defeated Lochaber 6–1 with Fiona Urquhart scoring four, while Badenoch and Dunadd shared eight goals in a 4–4 National League draw.
Badenoch defeated Glasgow Mid Argyll 1–0 in the Premier League, Ardnamurchan won 7–0 at Stirling and walkovers were awarded to Aberdour and Glasgow Mid Argyll.
There was also a busy programme of youth shinty, with Newtonmore reaching the London Shield Final following a 5–1 semi final victory over Kinlochshiel/Lochcarron as James Coyle scored four.
Kilmallie and Kingussie also booked their places in the MacMaster Cup Final following victories over Kyles Athletic and Kinlochshiel/Lochcarron respectively.
With another trophy decided and finals taking shape across the competitions, the shinty season continues to gather pace as the battle for silverware enters another important stage.
