NHS Highland and partners will be lighting up blue this Saturday (04 July) to acknowledge the amazing work of health and care staff and all key workers during the pandemic as well as recognising the 72nd national anniversary of the NHS which also falls this weekend (05 July).
A spokesperson said:
“Scottish Ambulance Service, Scottish Fire and Rescue, Police Scotland and HM Coastgaurd colleagues will be joined, where possible, by colleagues from NHS Highland as the emergency vehicles light up blue in front of the hospital’s main building.
“Many people will have experienced difficult times during these months, so with the help of our emergency services colleagues we want to show appreciation and shine a light on the unwavering dedication of all key workers, and to say thank you.
“In this 72nd Anniversary year, our NHS has responded in ways it has never had to before to deal with the challenges of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
“And it continues to respond in remarkable ways with our staff showing extraordinary commitment and dedication.”
