Get ready to embrace the sounds of Nashville in the heart of the Highlands as the Northern Star Country Festival makes its grand debut in Inverness this summer.
Set to take place at Northern Meeting Park on Saturday 6th September, the festival promises a day packed with top-tier country music, family-friendly entertainment, and an unbeatable selection of food and drink.
Headlining the event are THE SHIRES, the UK’s most successful country duo, boasting three consecutive UK Top 3 albums, four #1 UK Country albums, over 100 million streams, and a history of sell-out performances, including at the Royal Albert Hall.
Joining them are the critically acclaimed folk-country harmony group THE WANDERING HEARTS, whose storytelling and musicianship have enchanted audiences across the world.
Northern Irish Country Pop star CATHERINE MCGRATH is also set to take the stage, bringing the energy she has displayed at major festivals like Country2Country, Glastonbury, and Black Deer.
Modern country classics will be covered in style by GLASSVILLE, performing hits from LUKE COMBS, ZAC BROWN BAND, SHANIA TWAIN, and CARRIE UNDERWOOD among others.
Adding to the lineup is Nashville-based Scottish country artist CHRIS ANDREUCCI, the multi-award-winning duo RAINTOWN, and Highland favourite Geordie Jack, former frontman of the legendary UK country band Colorado, who will appear with THE GEORDIE JACK BAND.
Rounding out the bill is rising country and Americana star KATEE KROSS, ensuring an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary country music throughout the day.
Beyond the music, festival-goers can look forward to interactive experiences including Duelling Bucking Broncos, Country Karaoke, Line Dancing, and a Best Dressed Cowboy & Cowgirl competition, making this the biggest hoedown the Highlands has ever seen.
