Tha Fèisean nan Gàidheal air leth toilichte a sgaoileadh gun tèid pròiseact còmhnaidh ùr a chur air bhonn anns a’ Bhliadhn’ Ùir.

Thèid Meòraich a chumail eadar 13mh – 17mh Gearran 2026 aig Ionad Ath-Fhiadhaichidh Dhùn Dreagain faisg air Inbhir Moireastan, far am faigh com-pàirtichean cothrom air deireadh-seachdain socair, le fois, sìth agus slàinte a’ gabhail prìomhachas.

Tha fàilte ro dheugairean air feadh na dùthcha am foirm-iarrtais a chur a-steach, agus bidh rùm an do shianar duine deug de dh’aois àrd-sgoile.

Thèid com-pàirtichean a bhrosnachadh a bhith a’ toirt an aire dhan cuid shlàinte is sunnd fad 4 latha, le bhith ag ionnsachadh mu dhian-mheòrachadh, agus tro chur-seachadan ciùin, meòrachail, cruthachail agus cultarail.

Thuirt Manaidsear Leasachaidh Fèisean nan Gàidheal, Calum Friseal:

“Tha sinn air faicinn thar nam bliadhnaichean cho buileach luachmhor ’s a tha tursan-còmhnaidh, a leithid 5 Latha agus Sgoil Shamhraidh Dràma.

“Tha na tachartasan seo a’ togail ceangal eadar daoine òga agus an cuid chultair, agus a’ toirt cothrom dhaibh an cuid chainnt a chleachdadh is a neartachadh.

“Tha fios againn cho trang ’s a tha daoine òg agus an t-uallach a th’ orra, agus bha sinn ag iarraidh an cothrom a ghabhail èisteachd riutha agus tachartas eadar-dhealaichte a chur air dòigh fon stiùir fhèin.”

Bidh com-pàirtichean a’ dol aig astar na bu shlaodaiche, a’ dèanamh ceangal ri co-aoisean, cultar agus nàdar agus ag ionnsachadh sgilean ùra a nì feum a thaobh slàinte is sunnd.

Bidh com-pàirtichean air am brosnachadh fònaichean-làime fhàgail ann an cùram an luchd-aire a’ mhòr-chuid den ùine, san dòchas gum faighear fois na b’ fheàrr.

“Tha sinn an dòchas le bhith a’ toirt cothrom air fèin-fhiosrachaidhean ùra agus brìoghmhor tron Ghàidhlig gun tèid ceangal nas làidire ris a’ chànan a dhèanamh,” thuirt Calum.

Bu chaomh le Fèisean nan Gàidheal taing a thoirt dha Bòrd na Gàidhlig a thug taic-maoineachaidh dhan phròiseact seo.

Fèisean nan Gàidheal’s New Wellbeing-focussed Residential Project for High-school Pupils

Fèisean nan Gàidheal is delighted to announce that a new residential project will be launched in the New Year.

Meòraich will be held between 13th – 17th February 2026 at Dundreggan Rewilding Centre near Invermorriston, where participants will enjoy a gentle weekend, focussed on rest, wellbeing and peace will be prioritised.

Teenagers from all over the country are encouraged to apply, and there will be room for sixteen participants of high school age.

Participants will be encouraged to consider their wellbeing over 4 days, by learning about meditation and through calm, mindful, creative and cultural activities.

Fèisean nan Gàidheal’s Development Manager, Calum Fraser, said:

“We have seen how massively important residential trips can be over the years, with the likes of our ongoing projects, “5 Latha” and our summer drama school, “Sgoil Shamhraidh Drama“, and how they connect young people with their culture, and improve language skills.

“We know how busy young people in high school are, and about some of the challenges they have to face, and we wanted to take the opportunity to listen to them and create a different kind of event that was designed in response.”

Participants will go at a slower pace, connect with peers, culture and nature and learn new skills that will benefit their health and wellbeing.

Participants will be encouraged to leave mobile phones with supervisors for most of the day, in the hope that the break will help them to relax.

“We hope that by providing access to new and meaningful experiences through Gaelic, a stronger connection to the language will be nurtured.”

Fèisean nan Gàidheal would like to thank Bòrd na Gàidhlig, who provided funding support towards this project.
