ScotRail Family Pass Returns for Easter Travel Across Scotland

ScotRail has confirmed the return of its Family Pass for Easter 2026, offering unlimited rail travel across Scotland for families during the holiday period.

The £60 ticket allows up to two adults and four children to travel for seven consecutive days, providing a cost effective option for those planning trips during the Easter break.

Travel can begin on any day between the 3rd and the 13th of April 2026, giving families flexibility to plan journeys around school holidays and time off.

For the first time, the Family Pass is available to purchase online, making booking and trip planning more straightforward.

The offer is designed to provide an alternative to car travel, helping families avoid rising fuel costs, parking charges and congestion while allowing them to travel together in comfort.

Passengers can make use of Scotland’s rail network to reach cities, towns and popular destinations without the stress of driving, while enjoying the scenery along the way.

ScotRail says the pass opens up a range of affordable days out, from country parks and coastal trips to cultural visits such as the V and A Dundee and other free attractions across the country.

The initiative aims to encourage more families to make use of public transport while making travel more accessible during peak holiday periods.

Customers can also access additional travel ideas and inspiration through ScotRail’s online hub, helping them plan routes and activities across Scotland.

ScotRail Commercial Director Claire Dickie said the return of the pass would help families make the most of the Easter holidays.

“We’re pleased to bring back our popular Family Pass to help families make the most of the Easter holidays.

“With this limited time offer, families can enjoy unlimited travel for seven consecutive days, making it easier to explore Scotland together without worrying about the cost.

“With the option to buy online, it’s now even more convenient for customers to plan their Easter adventures by rail.”

The Family Pass returns as part of ScotRail’s wider efforts to make rail travel more accessible, offering a practical and affordable way for families to explore Scotland together.
