SNP Vows to Stand Firm Against the Rising Threat of Farage

The SNP has sounded the alarm over Nigel Farage’s growing popularity, warning that only they will stand firm against the Reform UK leader’s “toxic agenda”.

A new Survation poll published by True North has stunned political observers, showing Reform UK surging to 30 percent support across the UK.

Labour trails five points behind, with the Conservatives collapsing to just 18 percent.

If these numbers were repeated at a General Election, Farage could be headed for Number 10, with a projected 334 seats giving Reform a clear majority in the Commons.

Labour would land on just 180, while the Tories would fall to a humiliating fifth place, clinging to only 23 seats.

The SNP is warning that this marks a moment of real danger.

MSP George Adam said it proves what the party has been warning for months.

“Scotland has long had to endure a string of Prime Ministers we didn’t vote for,” he said.

“But the real prospect of Nigel Farage getting the keys to Number 10 is terrifying.”

Separate polling by YouGov also reveals that Keir Starmer’s personal ratings have dropped to their lowest ever level.

The Labour leader has faced fierce criticism over a new pledge to tighten immigration rules, with many accusing him of chasing Farage’s rhetoric.

Scotland’s care sector, universities and business leaders have rounded on the plans, warning they could do deep harm to vital services and the wider economy.

Adam said Starmer had “abandoned whatever principles he once had” in a “desperate attempt to keep up with Farage”.

He added that the Labour leader should be “ashamed” to be praised by Farage for copying his policies.

Starmer’s stance, the SNP argues, is fundamentally at odds with Scotland’s values.

The party says new restrictions would make it harder to recruit care workers, attract skilled talent from overseas and support thriving universities.

Adam said the Westminster system was now more out of step than ever with the realities of Scottish life.

“The SNP will fight Nigel Farage’s toxic agenda every step of the way,” he said.

“And we won’t cosy up to Reform, as Anas Sarwar has done by floating the idea of working with them to gain power.”

While support for Farage surges across the UK, the SNP insists that Scotland will continue to champion compassion, fairness and opportunity for all.

The warning comes at a time of political uncertainty, with many voters turning away from traditional parties in search of something new.

But the SNP says the real danger lies in giving power to someone whose views are not only divisive, but deeply damaging to Scotland’s future.
