JAECOO Ties New Hybrid Range to Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey

Chinese vehicle manufacturer JAECOO has announced a promotional partnership with Christopher Nolan’s new film The Odyssey, linking the launch of its latest hybrid technology with one of this summer’s biggest cinema releases.

The collaboration comes ahead of the film’s arrival in UK cinemas on 17 July.

JAECOO says the campaign centres on the idea that advanced technology can enhance long journeys, drawing a parallel between the legendary voyage of Odysseus and the long range capability of its Super Hybrid System.

The company’s hybrid technology is available across its model range, including the new JAECOO 8 SHS P, combining petrol and electric power to deliver improved fuel efficiency and extended driving range.

The manufacturer says the fifth generation Super Hybrid System has been designed to reduce fuel consumption while offering the flexibility and practicality needed for everyday driving.

JAECOO says the technology allows drivers to travel hundreds of miles on a single tank while retaining the convenience of hybrid motoring.

The partnership also coincides with the release of Christopher Nolan’s latest film, which tells the story of Odysseus and his ten year journey home following the Trojan War.

According to the company, the themes of endurance, resilience and exploration reflected in the story align closely with its own approach to vehicle design and engineering.

The campaign forms part of JAECOO’s efforts to raise its profile in the UK market as competition grows in the hybrid and plug in hybrid vehicle sector.

The Odyssey arrives in UK cinemas on 17 July.
