After five years away from touring, The Saw Doctors made a spectacular comeback in 2023 with sold-out shows in London, New York, and their hometown of Tuam, Co. Galway.
The band played to 10,000 fans at St. Jarlath’s Arena in Galway, marking a triumphant return to the stage.
Now, Highland fans can finally see them again as they make their long-awaited return this May, nine years since they last played here.
The Saw Doctors are led by the legendary songwriting duo of Davy Carton on vocals and Leo Moran on guitar.
The current lineup features former Waterboy Anthony Thistlethwaite on saxophone, Rickie O’Neill on drums, Pearse Doherty on bass guitar, Kieran Duddy on keyboards, and backing vocalists Noelie McDonnell and Tommy Carton.
Known for their infectious energy and heartfelt lyrics, The Saw Doctors blend traditional Irish sounds with modern influences.
Leo Moran describes their music as a fusion of Irish heritage and the cultural influences of TV, radio, social media, and even 24-hour petrol stations.
Paul Sexton of The Times once wrote that if The Saw Doctors could bottle their feel-good atmosphere, they would have “the medicine show to end them all”.
Fans across the Highlands will have four chances to catch the band live this May.
They will play Inverurie Town Hall on Tuesday 27th, Strathpeffer Pavilion on Wednesday 28th, Portree Community Centre on Friday 30th, and Badenoch Centre in Kingussie on Saturday 31st.
Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 28th March and will be available from beyondpresents.co.uk, universe.com, and ticketmaster.co.uk.
Expect these shows to sell out fast as The Saw Doctors bring their electrifying live experience back to the Highlands.
