Ross-shire based Stoddart Crane Hire celebrated their 20th anniversary with a spectacular family fun day event at the Black Isle Showfield on Saturday, June 8.

Bringing together their dedicated staff, valued clients and beloved family members, the day was fueled by both joy and nostalgia, celebrating strong community ties spanning two incredible decades.

Founder of Stoddart Crane Hire, David Stoddart, said:

“Having started out with a single Grove TM870 crane back in 2004, it is truly an incredible feeling to be celebrating our 20th anniversary.

“It has been quite a journey for our family but one that has certainly seen significant growth and long lasting partnerships built over the years – better still, I’ve been able to share this experience with my two children, Ewan and Kerri.

“Today wouldn’t be possible without their encouragement and the support and trust of our clients and colleagues.”

Despite the weather, spirits remained high as attendees mingled and reminisced over years gone by, before taking in a performance by Scottish Celtic rock band, Skerryvore, who ended proceedings on a lively high note.

David continued:

“Now that we’ve reached this remarkable milestone, it’s time to look to the next 20 years of Stoddart Crane Hire.

‘In the last two years alone, we’ve invested just over £3 million to help expand and modernise our fleet and build our team, ensuring that we continue to provide the high standards of service and excellence that our clients have come to value and appreciate.”

The family-run business, founded in 2004, has grown into a major player in the crane hire industry, serving the Highlands, Islands, and the wider UK.

With their recent investment the company now operates the most modern fleet of cranes in Scotland – including 5Te and 250Te vehicles – allowing them to meet the diverse needs of their clients with the highest standards of safety and technology.

In addition to celebrating their anniversary, Stoddart Crane Hire also showed their support to local charities, Highland Hospice and Mikeysline.

Highland Hospice provides specialist palliative care to people living in the Highlands, while Mikeysline offers mental health support and crisis prevention services throughout the region.

Those in attendance at Saturday’s event were encouraged to make a donation to support these fantastic organisations.

Stoddart Crane Hire is a family-operated business based in Muir of Ord, Ross-Shire, with over 30 years of experience in the crane hire industry.

They provide a wide range of services including mobile crane hire, crawler cranes, and specialised heavy haulage vehicles, serving the Highlands, Islands, and the UK nationwide.
