Tickets are now on sale for a community pantomime which promises to bring the magic of Neverland to Dyke & District Hall, while raising funds for the hall’s planned extension.
Peter Pan which has also attracted Moray Estates as its title sponsor will take to the stage at the hall on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 January 2027.
The production is bringing together more than 30 cast members, aged from eight years old upwards, alongside a huge production team working behind the scenes to bring the story to life.
The production is being staged to raise funds towards extending and improving Dyke & District Hall, helping to ensure the community facility can continue to meet the needs of local people for years to come.
Moray Estates is leading the way as title sponsor, with additional sponsorship support from The Cleaner Moray and Brodie Kennels.
Other local businesses have taken adverts in the show’s programme and Aye Do Events has generously offered in-kind support by running the bar and refreshments for the performances, whilst the Forres Men’s Shed have helped with some of the props.
Andrew Howard, a managing director with Moray Estates said:
“Moray Estates are delighted to support the Dyke community’s production of Peter Pan which will, in turn, assist in future investment in the village hall, a much-valued community asset.”
Kirsty Reid, who is the producer added:
“The support of local businesses is playing an important role in making the pantomime possible.
“We are very grateful to Moray Estates our title sponsor and all the other businesses who are generously getting involved.
“It simply would not be possible without this backing.
“The rehearsals which are being led by director Hayley Savage are going really well and we are having a lot of fun.
“There is a huge volunteer team working on the sets, costumes, dances and music.
“It’s a real community effort.”
Dyke & District Hall is an important hub for the surrounding rural community, hosting a wide range of activities and groups for people of all ages.
The planned extension will help improve the facilities available and provide additional space to support its continued use.
Leslie Tulloch, chairman of Dyke and District Hall committee said:
“We are very grateful to all the people who are involved in the pantomime.
“It’s a huge commitment and it’s been great to see the community coming together to make it happen.
“In essence, it has summed up why the hall is so important.
“With so many people throwing their weight behind it, it is clear the hall is a well-loved asset for our area.”
